The Manikin

The Manikin was originally part of the collective play Unmute, produced by Linbus Work at the 2024 Toronto Fringe Festival. It is now being developed into a standalone 45-minute short play.

The piece centers on a violent confrontation between two Chinese international students who are in the same theatre club, grappling with questions of race, the political aspects of theatre, and who holds the right to speak.

《假人》最初作为集体创作剧《Unmute》的一部分，于2024年在Toronto Fringe Festival由Linbus Work出品演出。该剧现即将成为一个完整的45分钟短篇剧作。作品讲述两位在同一个大学戏剧社的华裔留学生之间一次激烈（甚至充斥着暴力）的对话，他们围绕种族、戏剧本身的政治性，以及“谁有权发声”等议题展开冲突与思辨。
